General Summary

To manage all Channel Partners in a designated territory for a specific vendor portfolio from our Enterprise Security, Storage & Networking portfolio. Drive all Sales & Marketing initiatives with the channel partners in line with the vendor strategy. Achieve individual and team revenue and profit targets whilst providing an outstanding service and support to our Channel Partners in the designated region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed revenue and margin targets as set on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Achieve strategic and tactical business objectives as set on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Identify potential stake holders within our partners at a working level for focus products e.g. Sales Managers, Account Managers, Product Managers and Procurement
  • Support internal Pre-Sales team on promoting product bundles and generating demand by developing bundled solution from our diversified vendor portfolio
  • Develop excellent working relationship with internal Pre-Sales, Product Managers and Business Development, Regional Managers or Business Unit Managers
  • Work with the Product Managers/Pre-Sales Consultants to drive product specific marketing activities
  • Follow-up with channel partners and update pipeline on a regular basis
  • Manage Special Pricing Process by coordinating with Vendors and Partners
  • Quote as per TA standards to partners
  • Maintain and Manage Daily, Weekly and Monthly Call plan
  • Manage interactions on Credit with the appropriate Credit Manager for Transactions
  • Execute quarterly qualitative targets as set by the vendors
  • Manage the channel partners for the assigned territory and own the relationship and quarterly/yearly business planning
  • Work as part of a team within the Business Unit and the company.
  • Represent TA in a professional, efficient and competent manner at all times.
  • Ensure Channel Partners meet their accreditation criteria
  • Organize various demand generation activities with vendors and channel partners
  • Ensure channel partners are motivated at all times

 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Partner Sales Manager will develop an excellent relationship with the channel partners assigned to him through the provision of an outstanding quality of service.
  • Proactively manage accounts within the defined territory working closely with the Business Unit and respective Partner Sales Managers.
  • Provide channel partners with accurate product, price, availability and promotion information.
  • Give accurate information and deliver vendor specific product positioning messages to channel partners on any available promotions/new products.
  • Maintain a daily record of business opportunities (pipeline) and deals won/lost.
  • Make use of the sales tools available and use to maximum effect.
  • Provide regular updates and plans of action for assigned territory/accounts.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings with relevant contributions.
  • Achieve Sales Certifications goals as set by the Business Development or Unit Managers

Minimum Educational / Experience Requirements

  • Commercial or Technical Degree
  • 3+  years experience of local and regional IT markets, preferably having channel and partner management experience
  • Computer / IT education background
  • Relationship management skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good learning skills and self-development attitude
  • Ability and willingness to travel across the assigned territory
